Hello!
Welcome to my personal page.
I am available for hire as a Civil Aviation Authority, qualified drone pilot and experienced topside wildlife cameraman.
I am also a wildlife filmmaker and freelance ecologist. I film, edit, and research natural history features, shorts, and online content for Mousehole Films. I co-directed, filmed, edited and researched on their latest documentary feature, The Bough Breaks (2023) which has so far been awarded or selected in ten film festivals, and is now distributed by Good Docs. Two of my own short films were Highly Commended in the British Wildlife Photography Awards. and I am currently filming and presenting on a new online wildlife series, due to be launched in 2027.
I am also a qualified freelance ecologist with an MSc in Ecology and Conservation from the University of Aberdeen. This provides me with an invaluable scientific rigor when dealing with that sensitive intersection between habitat conservation and anthropgenic disturbance (the observer affect). I have worked for the James Hutton Institute on their Framework Directive and my research has been published (in collaboration) for
Ecology and Evolution.
and further research is due to be published in Journal of Applied Ecology (Farmland Birds) and Marine Mammalogy (Grey Seals). I have also worked for NatureScot, Enviro Centre/Cura Terrae and most recently for Glen Tanar Charitable Trust.
Let me know how I can help with your upcoming project!
